You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes.
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.”
Maya Angelou
Life is hard. Sometimes very hard. But it’s amazingly beautiful as well. If you open your eyes, and your heart, you’ll find there’s beauty in just about everything. Life is turbulant, volatile, dangerous, shifting.Life is challenging but in the same time so beautiful. To take that further, in the journey of life, one may be basking in the sunlight. Or literally, having good days with no problems. The next one can be shattered on the rocks, or sad, destitute, broke. The metaphor is simply stating that no one knows what will happen in the next moment of their lives, life changes as quickly as a storm does.It goes further to state that a person can do a multitude of things when the storm shifts, they can become adaptable, or succumb to pressure. How we are viewed and judged in the future (looking back upon us) is how we handle the shiftings and changings of the conditions of our lives. Many of those moments, words, or experiences that hold immense beauty to me, cannot be captured in an image or a photograph. For instance, the sound of a child laughing. Nonetheless, it’s important to notice these moments, capture them mentally (and if you can, physically), and remember them when the “hard” in life is overwhelming.Although life can be messy learn to dance.Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you’ve never been hurt and live like it’s heaven on Earth.” ― I just love Mark Twain ‘s quote .What I like about this quote is that we should take days as it come. Some days may be beautiful and calm other rainy or stormy. But I advise you to dance .,Metaphorically speaking you should dance -a dorky dance, the only dance you know–wherever you go, no matter who’s watching, no matter if anybody’s doing it with you. In the end of the day life is a journey, not a destination . You doing it alone. And dance. Dance in house, dance at work ,dance in the rain, on a sand dune, on cliff ledges. But don’t stop dancing. Keep pushing yourself…People are attracted to that courageous spirit–the choice to “dance like no one’s watching. We do not have to wait for something or someone to ‘happen to us’ for us to feel worthy and capable of feeling happiness. In fact, until now, that way of thinking has allowed countless opportunities for happiness and positive personal growth to pass us by. ,,Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to be over,it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”True happiness is not found in the ‘whens’ of life, it is found within us and is within our reach, here, now, today. If we learn to value and have a good relationship with ourselves, feel competent, (and be there for others), then we have what we need to enjoy life right now.Untill then ,I learn to dance and rise…..
