Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. ~Nathaniel Hawthorne
Happiness can be defined in many things however when its related to career I learnt one very important thing to be myself and relax while I do what I like .This is not a secret anymore: Unhappiness lies not in things outside ourselves, but in the irrational thoughts and false beliefs that
inhabit our minds – no matter how and when we have learned and developed these self-defeating ideas.Sure there will always be naysayers and skeptics who admit that happiness may work more enjoyable but resist the notion that it can give us a real, measurable advantage.Similarly, it logically follows that happiness can be found in the rational thoughts and true beliefs that we choose to maintain in our minds, and not in external things such as people, events, situations, and so on.On another hand I began to realize our brains are like little processors capable of devoting only a finite amount of resources to experiences the world .But what are these irrational thoughts and false beliefs that keep us from being truly happy? There are many of them, I admit.Nevertheless, the brain resources are limited and we are left with a choice-to use those resources to see only pain, negativity, stress and uncertainty or to choose these resources to look at things through a lens of gratitude ,hope ,resilience ,optimism and meaning.
“All our burning desires – or at least, most of them –must be fulfilled so we can be happy.”
Happiness is not about lying to ourselves or turning a blind eye to the negative but about adjusting our brain so that we see the ways to rise above our circumstances..
